Villa Bio

The name of this splendid villa, Bio, already hints at the property’s natural theme. The villa has a distinctive minimalist architectural style and is entirely covered with cork panels, situated deep in the countryside and surrounded by carob and olive trees, with an artificial lake that provides purified water and an equally natural swimming pool.

The cork that covers the property gives the villa a clean appearance that blends in with the surrounding nature and also ensures maximum energy efficiency.

The saying “less is more” perfectly encapsulates the philosophy behind the construction and décor choices at Villa Bio.

The villa boasts a refined and airy character, combining and blending materials such as wood, cork, concrete, stone and iron. Inside, every space is designed around simplicity, avoiding unnecessary frills and including some of the outdoor materials, such as iron and wood.

The large windows, as well as guaranteeing plenty of light, provide lovely views of the surrounding landscape.

The villa has three separate floors. On the ground floor of the main section of the villa, there are an open-plan living room and kitchen, with five steps between the two, and a large furnished terrace. With a separate entrance next to the main building, there is a double bedroom with a private bathroom and a panoramic sea view and lawn access. On the lower floor of the main building, there is a further double bedroom, a bathroom and an outdoor area with comfortable chairs.

There are three bathrooms on the ground floor in total.

On the first floor, there is an en-suite double bedroom with a panoramic terrace and an additional single bed (on request).

Villa Bio is a true oasis of bio-sustainability and relaxation, with its harmonious architectural design and airy, linear outdoor areas, featuring a pond, swimming pool, garden and surrounding greenery. The whole property exudes sobriety, elegance and respect for nature.

As well as being a key feature of the garden, the pond acts as a phyto-purifier for the pool water. The pool measures 20 x 3.1 m and is the perfect place to enjoy a totally private swim in the pure, crystalline water free from additives.

And finally, near to this beautiful villa are key Sicilian baroque sites and the Montalbano atmosphere, with white-gold beaches, infinite horizons and scents of the Mediterranean.
